This was one of those matches where the final score does not reflect how close this match was.

After the long journey we had a very quick warm up before the whistle blew to start the match. Francesca Younger and Iona Brooks were quickly put to work by the Ardvreck forwards and battled hard to keep them out of the circle. Lydia McCallum cleared the ball convincingly until a well worked goal from Ardvreck snuck into the goal. Ness Riley and Lydia Dalrymple worked hard in midfield to stop the Ardvreck girls advancing and used their excellent stick work to wrong foot the opposition's defence. Daisy Greville Williams and Eritrea Willoughby provided options out wide and fed the ball to Kitty Single in the middle who battled hard to get the ball past the Ardvreck goalie. Rose Greville Williams brought new energy to the team on both the left and right wing showing how adaptable she is becoming as a player.

However, although it was 1-1 at half time in the blink of an eye in the second half Ardvreck scored 3 very easy goals past us with a few questions being raised.

Our greatest fault was allowing Ardvreck to surround the ball when it was our free hit leaving our backs with no one to pass to - just have a look at the top picture.
