U10 Girls v longridge

After having so many matches cancelled this season due to snow, the girls were excited to get going!

We began the first half with an advantage, shooting downhill towards the goal. Jemima scored 2 goals within the first few minutes and Emilia another 3, all before 5 minutes had passed, the dynamic duo of attackers! Rosie played exceptionally well, dribbling the ball speedily up the left wing. Julia played equally well and worked hard at intercepting the ball on the right wing. With a clear shot, Julia scored her first goal and shortly after the whistle blew for the end of the second half.

Belhaven 6 - 0 Longridge

With the tables turned in the second half of the match, the girls were shooting up hill and against the wind. This did not dter the girls, with superb teamwork and excellent effort by Izzy and Cassia in midfield, the ball was in held by Belhaven for the majority of this half. Rosie was determined not to let the ball down the hill and battled against the elements and opposition, pushing the ball into goal. Emilia and Jemima continued to dart the length of the pitch feeding the ball out to Julia and Cassia, with Emilia scoring another goal. Izzy leapt into action and scored the final goal of the match!
