1st Girls v Longridge Towers

Belhaven 2   Longridge  2

House 505

This was not our most pleasant game of hockey. Missed balls, stick tackles, dangerous balls and a battle of strength. The pitch was somewhat small and with sixteen senior girls fighting for space passes had to be accurate and positioning crucial. Strong hits and goal hangers seemed to be recipe of the day and Eritrea Willoughby (as customary) kept the Longridge goalkeeper company. Francesca Younger and Iona Brooks kept their cool as hit after hit was being blasted into the circle by Longridge. Lydia McCallum was confident in her goalkeeping as she saved numerous shots and cleared the ball out to the wings. Lydia Dalrymple and Ness Riley were once again solid in their roles and were supported by Daisy Greville Williams, Kitty Single and Rose Greville Williams who unleashed attack after attack at the Longridge goal.

Goals: Lydia Dalrymple and Eritrea Willoughby

Man of the match: Lydia McCallum
