u10 compass tournament
The U10 girls had three matches in the Compass Tournament last sunny Saturday morning.
After a quick warm-up and jog around the Astro, the U10 girls prepared for the first of their three matches versus Heriots.
Heriots were a strong team and the girls quickly learnt that having their sticks down ready at all times was very important. Despite their best efforts, the defence and wings needed to tighten up and keep their eyes on the ball at all times.

Belhaven 0 - 3 Heriots

This was a lesson to them all and geared them for their second match versus Compass A. This time they were determined not to be beaten... With a quick shuffle of players, the wings and mid-field provided a strong wall of attackers and approached the opposition's D consistently, scoring a total of 5 goals in just 12 minutes! An easy victory.

Belhaven 5 - 0 Compass A

Fired up and ready to go, the girls took on Watson's for their third and final match. Unsure of how good Watson's would be, the girls knew that they had to work hard as a team. The match was even for the first 5 minutes as the ball went to and fro from one end to the other. With a Belhaven centre pass back, Jemima was quick into position in the D and scored the only goal of the match, putting the Belhaven Belles in the lead once again.

Belhaven 1 - 0 Watsons

Well done Girls, an excellent end to the season! |
