Fettes athletics day, monday 11th may

A mixture of boys and girls from Forms 1-3 took part in a very enjoyable athletics afternoon at Fettes last Monday 11th. Other schools competing in the various events were Fettes, Edinburgh Academy, Merchiston, Ardvreck and The Compass. The sun was shining down and although we arrived just slightly after starting time (!), Belhaven got straight off to a tremendous start with Rosabel Kilgour grabbing the gold in the first race of the day, the U12 Girls' 80m, 'A' Race. This was followed shortly by another first, Sophie Walker-Munro in the 'B' Race.

Everybody, without exception, put a super effort into their events and did Belhaven proud. Well done to you all, there are definitely some future Olympians out there...
