John Muir AWARD

CONSERVING OUR LOCAL WILD PLACE

 litter 2

Last Sunday, members of Form 3 and Form 4 were accompanied by Mrs Rawson, Miss Farrell and James down to John Muir Country Park to complete a 'litter pick' as part of their conservation task for the John Muir Award.

The children also completed a survey of the types of rubbish they collected as they split into groups to complete the clean up.

One thing they noticed during the afternoon, was that there seemed to be much less litter around this time in comparison to their last visit.

The children will be completing one final litter pick for their award next Sunday, but I am sure that it may be an activity which will happen again as part of our next Eco Award.
