girls' U11 vs compass
A very close match played between two equally skilled teams...
All of the girls played really well as a team showing a noticeable improvement in their dribbling skills and confidence in tackling the opposition.
Strong defence by Julia, Matilda and Rosie saved every ball hit into the D from scoring a goal and with some fast and furious hit outs by Mercedes, Compass scored no goals throughout the match.
Jemima worked well together with Emilia using good passing and dribbling tactics. Cassia, Bibi and Izzy at the wings, kept the ball out wide for the majority of the match. It was great to see the wings dribbling the ball and looking for clear hits before passing. Despite some super slap hits by Jemima towards the goal, the Compass defence proved to be an equal match.
Well done Girls, a good match , although I am sure with continued practice, we can score some goals in the Compass Tournament in March!
