U10 A Team   Belhaven 3 - Edinburgh Academy 1

A great afternoon of hockey for this team today.  Every member of the team played with 100% effort and enthusaism.  Zinnia and Tatiana defended their goal brilliantly, working together every time the ball came near to clear the space and pass the ball forwards to Rosie and Bridget.  The three attackers were certainly on a mission today, fighting for the ball on all occasions, keeping posession and passing well between them.  A goal from each Hannah, Tallula and Miranda in the second half of the game took them into the lead and a great victory today!

U10 B Team   Belhaven 1 - Edinburgh Academy 2

Another great effort for this team today - many of whom were playing in their first match this year.  Each girl played really hard and improved their performance today.  Nicole, Miranda and Ilona played well in defence - clearing the ball and beginning to think about using the passes with success.  Alex and Jasmine both played hard in the mid field trying to tackle and get possession of the ball, to pass the ball Alice, who was always there ready in a space.  Meanwhile Holly, Mia and Susannah proved to be an excellent attack today.  All working hard for the ball and trying hard to place the ball in the goal.  Eventually one great free pass from Alice, to Holly who was waiting near the goal, and she was ready to score.
