Boys Under-10 Hockey vs. Loretto

The U-10s were in action yesterday at Loretto. They played two ten-minute matches against Loretto A and then B teams.

The first match was a rather difficult encounter for Belhaven, as they have had virtually no experience of playing on astroturf, their experience of hockey been made up mainly of time spent on grass. As a result it took them some time to get into their stride, and went down 4-0 to Loretto's A team.

Some solace was gained in the second game against the home side's B team, as Belhaven upped their game and ran out 7-0 winners, Freddie Younger scoring five times and Duncan Mackenzie bagging the other two.

Well done boys in a difficult season disrupted by snowy weather, cancellations, rearranged fixtures and little game time on the astro. Thanks go to Warwick Wilson for his help with the U-10s and for taking the boys to Loretto for these fixtures.
