4c Balloon Debate - Final

In blatant flouting of copyright law, Form 4c have been competing week after week in a copy of Mr. Townshend's Balloon Debate which is competed for by the pupils in Form One.

We have had the following entrants (heat winners in red):

Heat One

Angus Barlow - Mrs. Thomas

Sebastian Flame - Piglet

Rex Benson - Winnie the Pooh

Holly Mitchell - Joan of Arc

Heat Two

Miranda Joicey - Roger Federer

Donald MacDonald - Adolf Hitler

Rosie Forsyth - Willy Wonka

Tatiana Ramsay - Pierce Brosnan

Heat Three

Ross Donaldson - Tutenkhamun

Ilona Heywood - Harry Potter

Arthur Macpherson - Leonardo da Vinci

Alexander Ferrand - Mr. Harvey

Heat Four

Hannah Bruneau - John Logie Baird

Jock Stodart - The Queen

Alexander Venters - William Wallace

James Dewar - Michael Morpurgo

For the final we had a theme, which mirrored the Form One theme - 'Famous Britons':

Alexander Ferrand - Mrs. Doubtfire

Jock Stodart - Richard Branson

Rex Benson - Jack the Ripper

Miranda Joicey - Rowan Atkinson

In a tight-fought battle in front of Forms Four and Five and Misters Gale and Curry, Jack the Ripper sliced his way through the opposition to end a cut above the rest as he pipped Rowan Atkinson to the win.

Well done to all involved. Scores and pictures below.
