U12 Rounders v Fettes
Belhaven 6 - Fettes 3
This was the first match of the season and the excitement was high. All the Form 2 girls were in the team with Sophie W-M as captain. We won the toss and chose to field first. Grizel, Amelia and Annabel all made amazing catches keeping their score low at 1 ½ rounders! Then came the batting and first up was Amelia followed by Grizel. Poppy scored half rounders, so did Abigail and Rosabel bringing our total to two! It was very close! In the second innings of fielding Mairi got a few people out at second and so did Grizel, Rosabel and Amelia! Jeanie took a good catch and so did Beno. We got them all out before 25 balls and again prevented too many rounders being scored. In the second innings of batting Rosabel and Jeanie scored the points in this half! Rosabel just kept scoring, hitting well and running home to 4th base. At the end of the game the score was Belhaven 6, Fettes 3.
