U12 Rounders v Longridge Towers

A great way to finish off the last few weeks of term.  Feeling refreshed and ready to go after half term, the girls needed to get their eye in for the ball rather early on in the game.  A very evenly matched first innings with some great batting and fielding from both teams saw Belhaven take the lead by just one rounder.  Belhaven 5 - Longridge 4

The girls needed to ensure they did not take any early risks in the next innings.  Unfortunately, Amelia was caught out on her first go having made a great hit.  The rest of the team stayed in, hitting well and taking the necessary risks when possible to put pressure on the fielders.  An impressive 10 1/2 rounders at the end of the innings took their total score to 15 1/2.

Their fielding was very tight, non hitters were caught out a first post with the quick reactions from Grizel and Rosabel.  Longridge were not so lucky this innings and ended scoring a further 3 1/2 rounders.
