Belhaven invade tantallon
On Sunday afternoon, 24 squires from Belhaven launched an attack on Tantallon Castle. Led by Sir MacAskill of Belhaven, Lady Gale of Belhaven and Lady Esther of Queensland the squires soon met up with Nobleman Gale and his page, William, who were waiting at the top of the castle to meet them upon their arrival.

Taking in the sights of the castle, the squires explored the stairwells, imagined aiming a cannon at their enemies, took a trip to the dungeons and explored the many ruined rooms of the castle. They also found the well fascinating as they listened to their echoes.

Sir MacAskill soon asked the brave squires to locate the ghost of MacAskill who was hidden somewhere within the castle. Setting off in pairs, the ghost was soon captured, hiding in the kitchen block!

Squires Gimlette, Tyndall and White then took off to find some rather great hiding places whilst the younger squires then tried to locate them.

Despite being a rather cold and damp afternoon, everyone enjoyed themselves and had a super couple of hours at Tantallon.
