DISCOVER
We found out a little bit about who John Muir was, where he lived and grew up. We also talked about the different habitats within the school grounds and learnt about the Country Code.

EXPLORE
We decided to explore the school grounds. We used pooters to look for minibeasts and also made friends with trees. Each group took a tree and completed a leaflet about it. We also made some bark rubbings and leaf rubbing and arranged them so they looked like our tree. We also took a trip down to explore the rockpools at Belhaven Bay.

CONSERVE
As part of the conserve element, many of the children have a plot of garden in which they are planting their own flowers to attract wildlife. Some of the boys are in the middle of making a bird table and next week we will be making some 'fat balls' to hang from trees around the grounds. Photos of these will be posted soon.
