JOHN MUIR AWARD - CONSERVE

As part of the Conservation strand for the John Muir Award, Form 4 have been busy making some bird tables in their DT lessons.  They have also just made some bird feeders, which we will hang on the trees around school.

Their gardens are looking colourful and hopefully attracting all kinds of insects.

As we have now completed our work towards the John Muir Award, Form 4 reflected on the work they have done and completed the challenge review.   This is a short summary in their own words, of what they have done:

DISCOVER - a wild place

The shrub, wildlife, John Muir, the rock pools, trees within the school grounds, we learnt about the country code, made factfiles about John Muir, posters on the country code, different habitats, names of trees, visit the John Muir Birthplace
