Visit to Lennoxlove Book Festival
On Saturday 5th November 2011 we had a very entertaining time at the Lennoxlove Book Festival.
We saw Adam Hart-Davis give a presentation on his new book called ‘The Book of Time: The Secrets of Time, How It Works and How We Measure It’.
We all loved learning about time. I think that when the sun swallows the earth it will take Time as well. Don’t worry! That won’t happen for 5½ billion years!
It was very funny when Adam Hart-Davis told us that he made his students jump off a high tower to see if time moves slowly when they’re falling and that lady looked as though she was screaming! It was interesting when they thought it was five seconds when it really only lasted for two or three.
The Form 5 boarders and all the Form 4s really enjoyed the talk. Thank you very much for taking us Mrs MacAskill, Miss Graham and Mrs Parks.
