Handwriting Competition

After a good Christmas break the children have already launched themselves into the Spring Term and there is plenty to keep them busy.

The Handwriting Competition, run by the English Department each year, is already underway with children practising their handwriting before they submit their opening entries.

The competition is led by Miss Graham and every child in the school takes part. After some practice, they copy out a poem (there are different poems for each year group) which is then submitted to Miss Graham for judging. The best few in each category progress to the final which takes place later in the term.

There is the usual assortment of edible prizes with new fountain pens for the overall winners. We look forward to seeing just how well they all do.
