Working alongside staff, under the leadership of the Headmaster, we aim to ensure all children receive the support they require to reach their potential: social, emotional and academic. Children’s progress is carefully monitored, this coupled with a robust assessment framework, ensures early identification of any potential Additional Need. The school has close links with outside professionals who can provide further diagnostic assessment and advice. Support from qualified and experienced Learning Support staff is offered both in class and withdrawn on an individual or small group basis where tasks, activities and resources are tailored to individual needs. All children’s progress is discussed regularly at whole staff meetings, where appropriate setting and next steps are agreed. Regular contact with parents ensures they are kept involved and informed at each step as their child progresses through school.
