FOrm 3 visit the 'risk factory'
On Friday morning, Form 3 took a trip to the 'Risk Factory' in Edinburgh. They had a super time taking part in a variety of different scenarios looking at personal safety.

the different safety scenarios!
(We did not take any pictures inside as we don't want to spoil the fun for future visits!)
Here are some reports of the different scenarios the children dealt with:
My favourite part of the Risk Factory was when we had to save the Granny from the blazing fire in the house. We had to find the keys for the nextdoor neighbour so he could get out, so some of us went back in to find them! We then had to find a phone to call 999. We got through to the Fire Service and had to tell them what happened. The Fire Service then came and put out the fire.

At the Risk Factory we did different scenarios. This was one of my favourite. Our group leader Graham, led us into a house and told us to wait while he left to get something. But he left the door open and suddenly a man came in and took a box frm the shelf. He also asked someone to hold the door open for him, so someone did. He then asked for someone to go out and help him open the gate but we said no! The Police came and then we had to give a description of the robber. It was really fun.

Graham was our leader at the Risk Factory. There was a train, a fire and different scenarios. My favourite was the robber. It was an enjoyable experience where we were told what to do and what not to do. I would recommend it to anyone.

When we went to the Risk Factory, my favourite risk was when we went to visit Rosie's Granny! We experienced a fire and how to cope with it and what not to do! We had to save the granny and her cat and also had to make sure that the nextdoor neighbour and people around us were alright and had to keep them calm. We also learnt what not to do in an online chatroom.

My favourite scenario was when we went to Granny's house. Suddenly a fire started and we had to get Granny out of the house. When we got her out we had to phone the Fire Service. Our nearest phone box was vandalised so we tried the other one and dialed 999. When we got through we had to say where we were and what had happened. Then we heard the nextdoor neighbour trying to get out. We realised that his keys were in the burning house so we told him to open the windows and breathe in the fresh air - the Fire Brigade were on their way.
