It is important that children learn to use the computer as a tool. From the moment children enter Belhaven they are taken through courses to show them how to word process, use a spreadsheet, and browse the internet safely. In addition, as they progress through the school, they are introduced to desktop publishing, website design and the use of photo-manipulation software.

Each child is given an account through which they can safely and securely access the Internet and their school e-mails. These accounts are monitored, though not in an intrusive manner.

The school has a suite of 16 computers and each classroom has a minimum of one static computer linked to the network. Classrooms are now being equipped with Interactive Whiteboards – giving another exciting and innovative platform for the use of ICT in the classroom.
