Cricket

As the days lengthen and temperatures rise, thoughts turn to summer and cricket.

 

At Belhaven Hill, kwik-cricket is played by boys at Under 9 level and cricket is played by all boys thereafter.

 

All boys experience competitive fixtures each season. Most Wednesdays and Saturdays in the summer term will see teams at each level enjoying matches and parents enjoying the much renowned Belhaven Hill match teas.

 

Belhaven Hill has two idyllic cricket fields, both with well-maintained turf wickets, three all-weather practice nets and an indoor net with a bowling machine, an invaluable coaching tool that allows training to continue through the fickle Scottish summers and in the off-season.

 

Cricket matches are usually limited, thirty over affairs; this often leads to very exciting matches but we do try to ensure that the boys also get some experience each season of the longer, more traditional, timed matches. 

 

Senior boys look forward to highly competitive single and double wicket competitions to round off each season.
