Mansfield music cup 2009

This year’s Mansfield Music Cup took place in the Sports Hall on Friday 23 October. Our adjudicator on the day was Mr Andrew Penny, a distinguished conductor and music teacher from Yorkshire, and father of our music gap student, Jonathan.

 

As in previous years, the six patrols each performed a mini-concert consisting of six items, including a ‘whole patrol’ song. This year’s theme for the songs was ‘Australia’.

LIONS

After many encouraging and helpful comments, Mr Penny decided that there should be two runners-up, Badgers and Lions and then he announced that this year’s winning patrol of the Mansfield Music Cup was Wolves.

 

Thank you Mr Penny and well done to the Wolves and to their two staff members, Miss Farrell, and that musically talented South African with the voice of an angel, Mr Townshend.
