Girls' Rugby: U13 Touch Rugby v Ardvreck

On Saturday, seven Form 1 girls played in a touch rugby match against Ardvreck. It was seven-a-side. It started with the rule to put the ball through your legs if touched and that’s how we played the first half.

In the first half we definitely dominated the game. There was some great quick play and some sneaky offloads. Annie had a great try on the wing with some great running round the players. India was a solid player throughout the game and made some great distance when she got the ball. Floss also scored a cracking try in this half. Tash was always ready for the pass and supported the runner. At the end of the first half it was 5-0.

Ardvreck seemed to become stronger throughout the second half but we didn’t drop our game. Calypso got two very good tries with some offloads and a lot of running. Our pace and running was good and we made fewer mistakes as well. Molly came very close to scoring a try and played with high energy through the whole game. At the end of the match the score was 9-0 to Belhaven.

Everyone seemed to love the change of game and the game was a great success! Well done everyone!
