Fly Tying

Fly Tying Activity has proved popular again this term with a new group of children learning the art of tying their own flies.

Not only do the children who chose this activity enjoy their weekly session, I am delighted that so many of them also come to an extra session on Wednesdays when I am available; indeed, a few children not in the activity have dropped in on Wednesdays to learn what it is all about.

So far they have been learning the basics but good progress has been made and I suspect Christmas could be affected in two ways:

1.  requests for fly tying kits as presents and

2. flies making up a fair number of presents for family members.
