Cross Country at Preston Hall

A fine day for running was rewarded by some good displays in the first of four cross-country events for Belhaven within the next two weeks.

In the U-10 girls, Belhaven frustratingly finished equal first on 16 points but lost out by virtue of not having the highest-placed finisher;  a lesson to all to keep going right till the end as every place counts.

A young U-10 boys’ team competed gamely, as did the U-12 girls who were headed by the excellent Jana but pride of place went to the boys U-12 team which had finishers in 2nd, 3rd and 4th positions and easily won the team prize.

Well done to all runners.
