Belhaven Individual Cross-Country

Every year all pupils run traditional ‘Belhaven Cross-Country’ course, a 2.1km dash around the school grounds.  This year was a good year in so many ways; larger numbers of pupils in the school making for a competitive race and older pupils giving it their all in their last ever run at the school.

Archie S. won the event in 7m 55s; a good time in slippy conditions.  He just edged Rollo into second and Alfie, lasy year’s victor, into third place.  Emily was the first female, and also junior girl home, in tenth position.  Monty S. was the first junior boy – and a Form 5 at that, finishing in a magnificent seventh place.

The Owls won the event overall, pipping the Lions into second, with the Wolves not too far off and the Woodies a distant fourth this year.  Well done to every pupil for participating, especially those to whom running does not come easily.
