Botanics Trip 2019

Botanics Trip 2019

Form 5 and 6 pupils went to the Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh.

They participated in a workshop where they learnt all about plants and flowers.

They did a variety of activities from a drama about pollination, to seed dispersal and how bees and birds see.

They put blue glasses on to see like a bee and red glasses to see like a bird.

We then went on a wander around the Glasshouses, where we saw many amazing species of plants and flowers.

The particular highlights were all the fish and the giant Lily pads.

Finally we planted a small tub of pea shoot seeds to take home, which will hopefully grow into some delicious pea shoots.
