Girls' Hockey: 1st v Loretto

A Game of Two Halves!

The first half was one we would all rather forget. The hot weather seemed to leave us with a lack energy and determination. We were losing 50:50 balls and not reacting on turnovers. Our two defenders and keeper were often left facing 4 attackers. 

After a few stern words and water at half time the girls went back on the pitch and played with more aggression. The ball was moved more freely up the right-hand side and lead to some great balls across the D. Eventually we were able to capitalise on one of these with a deflection from a lifted ball. The second half went in our favour. 

Final score: 5 - 1
