Belhaven Hill School is about 40 minutes east of Edinburgh, near the sea on the outskirts of Dunbar in East Lothian, one of Scotland’s most beautiful counties. The school is very conveniently located just off the A1 and accessible by train on the East Coast Line (Edinburgh to London). It's also only 45 minutes from Edinburgh Airport.
Take the A1 South towards Berwick-upon-Tweed. Continuing past Haddington, at the Thistley Cross Roundabout take the first exit and follow the road under the railway bridge to the next roundabout (Belton). Take the 2nd exit signposted 'Dunbar' and follow this road through West Barns and into Belhaven. The road goes up a slight hill (High Street) and on the left is a red sandstone wall. You will see a School warning road sign and about 50m past this sign take a left turn through the School gates before the Church.
From the South
Travel on the A1 North towards Edinburgh and when you reach Dunbar turn right off the A1 at the 'Spott roundabout' in the direction of the town centre. Follow the road past the Light Industrial Estate (Belhaven Brewery & Eve Coaches are easily visible) under the railway bridge and at the T-junction turn left. Follow the road past the Medical Centre (on your left) and past the Royal Mackintosh Hotel (on your right) and Dunbar railway station (on your left) and continue on the road signposted Edinburgh. Follow this road (Countess Road becoming Somerfield Road, a residential area) for about 1/2 a mile and at the T-junction (with the Grammar School on your right) you will see the Belhaven school gates ahead of you across the road.
