"Dem Bones"

"Dem bones, dem bones, dem dry bones"
Form 5 have been learning all about the structure and functions of the skeleton.
Did you know the skeleton has 3 roles

  • To give our body shape
  • For movement
  • For protection
With this we have been learning about the names of some of the bones.  Our favourite name is that of the toes and fingers which are called "phalanges".
We teated our knowledge by having a naming relay race.  They did pretty well and got most of the names right, although the positions of the Ulna and Radius caused a few problems.

Alexander and Annie hunt out the right place to put their bones

This lot looks pretty good, if I remember correctly the pink team won!
