PTFA: Summer Term Round-Up
As we bid farewell to another action-packed term, I look back at the wonderful events that have taken place at Belhaven over the past few weeks and yet again I am struck by the incredible energy, generosity and spirit of the Belhaven Hill School parent community.

Our now well established Super Food Friday continued to bring parents and pupils together in a relaxed, festive spirit to raise funds for the Dunbar RNLI — with highlights including the much-enjoyed pulled pork buns that had everyone coming back for seconds!

Friends and families of Belhaven got their share of fun too with a Belhaven Bridge Afternoon held in the Front Hall to raise funds for the Dunbar RNLI. It was a warm and delightful occasion with plenty of good humour, gentle competition, and of course, excellent afternoon tea.
We were also delighted to provide a picnic lunch for over 50 Old Belhavians on the annual OB Sports Day at the end of May – it was wonderful to see such a great turnout of former pupils from across the years and to catch up on their news.

We’ve even established a new and very popular tradition: Birthday Cake Monday! Thanks to our newly appointed Head of Cake, all teaching and non-teaching staff are now treated to several delicious homemade cakes each month to mark their birthdays — a small gesture that brings a lot of joy.
The PTFA’s final hurrah of the year was a truly beautiful one — a cascade of flowers that adorned the Front Hall and Front Steps, creating a stunning and fitting backdrop to the emotional Form 1 Leavers’ Revue. Thank you also to Rowena Halliday of Pixie Rose for her flower arranging expertise.
We are thrilled to announce that we have raised £2,926.43 for the Dunbar RNLI this year.
A huge thank you to everyone who contributed their time, energy, ideas, and talents this term and throughout the year. The PTFA thrives because of Belhaven Parents community, and it’s their enthusiasm that continues to make Belhaven Hill School such a special place.
Wishing you all a wonderful, restful summer. We look forward to seeing you again in the autumn for more community spirit, laughter, and (hopefully!) more sunshine!
