Patrol Rugby and Hockey
Senior and Junior reviews, results and photos

Saturday, 25th September, saw the second round of Patrol competitions in the main sports. Following the Woodies’ victory in the Football and overall lead in the Patrol competition at the first weekend out mark, what difference will this round of matches make to the overall standings?

The Juniors headed out to Hallhill for their hockey tournament, giving me a chance to visit the venue for the first time – after some very competitive hockey, the joint winners were the Lions and the Woodpeckers.

Back at base, the mixed touch rugby teams played some fantastic rugby – there was an excellent spirit throughout and although we still miss the ‘edge’ of external competition, it was great to see everyone involved and active on a beautiful afternoon.

The final was a keenly contested affair between the Woodies and the Wolves and this time, the Wolves came out on top. In the Patrol Athletics events that have taken place over the course of the past week, the results were as follows:

1st = Woodpeckers and Lions
3rd – Wolves
4th – Owls

1st – Lions
2nd – Wolves
3rd – Owls
4th – Woodpeckers

Given that there was just one point between the Woodies and the Wolves in the overall competition two weeks ago, I expect that the rankings will now look rather different! After this weekend out, we will be moving to the Autumn term games programme with tennis lessons continuing to half term.

Autumn term games programme:

Boys – Rugby (hockey on a Friday)
Girls – Hockey (rugby/lacrosse on a Friday)
