Prep School Sports, Art and Design Exhibition Day 2025

Where we had been confident with the weather forecast for the Pre-Prep Sports Day, we were anything but for the Prep School version the following day, Saturday 7th June! The rampant optimism created by the glorious May weather meant we decided to press ahead, hoping against hope that we would continue to be lucky. Barring 15 minutes of heavy rain at 3pm and at the end of Prize-giving, that is exactly what happened.

It proved to be a wonderfully happy occasion – the tug-of-war provided a great focal point after a picnic lunch that featured an excellent performance by the Pipe Band, and the all-comers races saw some entertaining OB and parent races.  

The Art and Design exhibitions were filled with exuberant work from every year group - inspired by artists from Piper to Picasso, the creativity of the children wowed families and visitors. There will be lots more photos available shortly as we create the annual galleries for the website. 

4 records were broken, with Annie F breaking Junior Girls Long Jump (2m.91) and 400m (82 seconds) records, Xander L breaking a 30-year-old Middle Boys 400m record held by C.G. Osborne (now 65.7s) and Eloise stretching the distance for the U13 Girls Shot Put.

We finished with a series of 4x100m relay races before speeches and prize-giving. The  heavens then opened again and heralded the start of half term.
