The Typical Day
A Typical Day in the Pre-Prep
There is the option of joining for breakfast at 7.45am, and the school day starts at 8.30am, with time to settle in to the routine of the day before morning lessons begin. Usually the days start with phonics, Literacy or Maths, with a morning break at 10.45am to enjoy the outdoors and burn off some energy. After break will be a daily games session with experienced games coaches, and then we head to lunch in the dining room at 12.15pm.
After a delicious and healthy lunch, it is back to Pre-Prep for the second break time of the day. Afternoon lessons begin at 1pm, and may consist of language lessons, topic-based learning, Outdoor Education, Computer Science, Music, Drama or Art. For children aged 6 and 7 (Forms 7 and 6), individual music lessons may also take place in our dedicated Music school throughout the school day. There will be three different pick-up times: the day finishes at 3.30pm, with optional activities running until 4.40pm; our after school club (including tea) will run until 6pm for those who require it.
We are offering flexible wrap-around care for your family’s busy life style, from 7.45am to 6pm.
