The rain started and only got worse throughout the game. It was an even match with the ball breaking into both D’s. Our first opportunity came when George managed to sweep the ball across the front of goal from the right but it was going too fast for anyone to put a stick on. Not long after, Pedro took a shot from the edge of the D and it went straight past the keeper. Loretto weren’t going to sit back and give us the win though, they kept the pressure up, going wide of the goal several times. Our defence worked back as fast as they could and Henry made some fantastic saves.  

In the second half the game seemed to lean towards Loretto, they were getting more and more opportunities as the boy’s legs started to tire. They managed to make a few breaks but were tackled well in the D by the Loretto defence. With not long to go and after a hug deserving save by Henry Loretto finally managed to sneak one in.
