Boys' Hockey: U11b v Riley House

U11b Hockey v Riley House

For the second match of the season the U11b team had plenty of time to warm up, as Riley did not arrive until 2.45pm.

The impressive U11b side showed determination and positivity throughout the match, constantly looking to support each other. Riley had a team that was completely influenced by one player, who ran rings around the Belhaven boys, and that player either scored a goal or passed to the goal scorer.

At half time, the score was 5-0 and without a number of magnificent saves from Harry in goal, the score would have been a different story.

The second half started with vim and vigour with Riley scoring two goals even though their key player had been put up to the first team. Then the fight back started with Johnny scoring the best goal of both teams from a very narrow angle. This was followed by an excellent goal from Beetle - smashing the ball into the back of the goal.

Some players need to look at where they pass to and when to run into position. This will come with time and more game experience.  The final score was 8-2. Well done to Cosmo, Harry in goal, Tom as captain and the two goal scorers for working hard and playing well in their position.
