Fettes won the toss and elected to take the first centre pass. Captained by Olive the Belhaven team were excited to get going. From the beginning the game was swift and dynamic. Both teams used the court well, dodging, passing accurately and getting into spaces quickly. As Goal Shooter Louisa had her eye in straight away and Belhaven scored the first few goals but Fettes kept the pressure on and scored too.

In the second quarter Olive, Liv and Amy worked hard in defence and managed to keep returning the ball back to the centre of the court. In the second quarter Amelia had great efforts to intercept and mark her player. Willow, Sophie and Alice formed a strong alliance which they maintained throughout the match and created a number of opportunities for Belhaven to score.

Olive’s quick reactions and determined marking continued to produce great results in the final quarter of the game and as Centre Willow worked tirelessly and swiftly to retrieve balls and return them to Alice and Louisa. Well done.

Focussed and with a desire to win, Belhaven maintained the pressure and took control of the game in the final quarter. Alice scored a number of tricky goals and Louisa remained reliable as shooter throughout the game. Well done both of you.
