Headmaster's Welcome to Belhaven Hill School
As the new Headmaster of Belhaven Hill, I am delighted and honoured to lead this remarkable school and to follow in the footsteps of my superb predecessor, Olly Langton.
From my first days here, I have been struck by the warmth of the community, the dedication of the staff and, most importantly, the energy, curiosity and character of the children. Belhaven is a place where childhood is truly cherished and where children are encouraged to become the very best version of themselves.
Belhaven believes that every child possesses unique talents, interests and ambitions. Our role is to help them discover those strengths, develop them with confidence and pursue them with purpose. We want every child to leave us with a strong sense of who they are, what they stand for and what they are capable of achieving.
Our community is built around the core values of creativity, courage and courtesy. These values shape daily life and underpin an ethos that combines warmth, ambition and high expectations. Children need to feel understood, supported and cared for. They need guidance through challenges, the confidence to explore and create and the encouragement to approach every opportunity determined to give their very best. Just as importantly, they must learn to win with humility and lose with grace.
A vital part of life at Belhaven is learning to do the right thing. Kindness, respect, good manners and self-discipline help create an environment in which learning and personal growth flourish. These qualities provide foundations that will serve children well throughout their lives.
Whether making the most of our design and technology capabilities in our new Makerspace building, performing on stage, competing on the sports field, exploring our coastline or simply enjoying the freedom to be a child, our children are part of a community that balances timeless values with modern opportunities.

I, together with my wife, Eugenie, and all at the school, look forward to looking after our current community, welcoming many more families to Belhaven and enjoying the lifelong companionship of those who have gone before.
